What is the differences of Ikhlas and Pasrah???

It was started when i read one of my friend's status at fb,

"I don't know the differences of 'ikhlas' and 'pasrah'...

is ikhlas=pasrah...

and what did i do.. to let everything happens and never care about that... is ikhlas or pasrah? and is it good?

i always say to my self...I DON't CARE.............DO I???"

I was confused, I didn't know what should i wrote at the bottom of the status (comments' place...)

all this time i just understood the meaning by heart BUT i can't figure it out,,, and by now only, i'm googling and finding a good and simple article about that,,

“Apa Kamu pernah jatuh cinta?” Sahabatku bertanya.
Hihihi pertanyaan macam apa ini? Ya tentu pernah lah..
“Apa yang kamu lakukan bila berada dekat-dekat dengan si dia?” Nah ini pertanyaan susah. Kalau saya jawab semuanya tentu dia akan terbahak-bahak mendengar betapa saya mau dan mampu melakukan hal-hal tolol demi menarik perhatian si dia.
“Apa saja demi menyenangkan hatinya” 

jawab saya diplomatis, namun jujur.
“Sepenuh hati dan tanpa keterpaksaan ya?” 

kejarnya lagi. Saya mengangguk mengiyakan.
“Itulah ikhlas.. tapi yang menjadi tuhannya adalah sang pujaan hati kamu itu.. coba sekarang kamu melakukan hal yang sama tapi demi menyenangkan Allah Yang Maha Suci..maka kamu sudah melakukan Ikhlas dengan makna yang hakiki..” 

"Do you ever fall in love?" asked My friend.
Hihihi What a question is this? Of course i ever ..
"What do you do when you're near him?" Well this is difficult question. If I answer that i can do anything for him, of course she will laugh hearing how I am willing and able to do stupid things to get his attention.
"Anything that make him happy" I replied diplomatically, but honest.
"Whole hearts and without necessity?" asked her again. I nodded yes.
"That is sincere (ikhlas) .. but who became the God is your lover .. now you try to do the same but for the sake of pleasing Allah the Most Holy .. then you've done Ikhlas with an intrinsic meaning .. "

"Pernah naik pesawat?”
Tanpa menunggu konfirmasi, sahabat saya melanjutkan..
“ketika kamu di dalam pesawat, tentu kamu memberikan seluruh wewenang untuk menerbangkan pesawat tersebut kepada pilot kan? kamu tidak akan merasa bertanggung jawab untuk mampu menyopiri pesawat kan? Semuanya kamu pasrahkan pada pilot, dan kamu yakin bahwa pilot tersebut akan membawa kamu sampai ke tempat tujuan. Apakah kamu pernah sepasrah itu kepada Allah Yang Maha Pengasih Maha Penyayang?”

"Have you ever get on a plane?"
Without waiting for confirmation, my friend continued ..
"when you're on the plane, surely you give all authority to fly the plane to the pilot, right? you won't feel to be responsible for chauffeuring aircraft capable right? You give the authority to the pilot, and you're convinced that these pilots will take you to your destination. Have you ever do it to Allah the Most Compassionate, the Merciful? " 

Well, it's a simple concept of ikhlas and pasrah..

now i think i can tell this story if someone asking me about this someday,, yeah,, maybe..
